Expert Services for Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Comprehensive, Specialized Services for Children & Adolescents
Psychiatric care for children and adolescents focuses on emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns that affect functioning at home, in school, and in relationships. Dr. Tayyab provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment planning tailored to each child’s developmental stage and clinical needs.
Care is structured, thoughtful, and developmentally informed. Treatment planning often involves collaboration with parents or caregivers and, when appropriate, coordination with therapists, schools, pediatricians, or other providers. The practice is designed to support careful, longitudinal care as children grow and circumstances change.

The initial evaluation involves a detailed psychiatric and developmental assessment. Information is gathered from both parents or caregivers and the child or adolescent, with attention to symptoms, history, and contributing factors.
This typically leads to discussion of:
Diagnostic impressions and clinical formulation
Medication options, including benefits and potential side effects when appropriate
Therapy recommendations
School-related considerations or accommodations
Coordination with other providers or referrals if needed

Follow-up visits focus on monitoring functioning, symptom changes, and response to treatment over time. This includes careful attention to side effects, developmental changes, and evolving academic or social demands.
Treatment plans are adjusted thoughtfully as children grow and circumstances change.
We look forward to working together
